John Thomson produced an Atlas of Scotland in 1832 which was a major work (although bankrupting him in the process!) and is regarded as a significant milestone in the mapping of Scotland. We have reprinted in colour two of his maps which were included in his Atlas.
The Isle of Skye in 1824 and The Southern Portion of Ross in 1826

Large scale maps varying from 1 to 1.5 inches to the mile of Angus, Ayrshire, Perthshire and Stirlingshire. Measuring up to 64 x 72 inches the maps date from 1775 through to 1817 . Each county is printed on several sheets and sold individually or as complete sets.

Full colour unfolded half inch to the mile ORIGINAL UNUSED maps from J.G.Bartholomew's 1912 Atlas of Scotland measuring 16 x 21 inches with all the usual information in atlas maps.
The set covers Scotland excluding Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen areas which are no longer available although we do have a 1912 town plan of Aberdeen.

Scottish Town PlansScottish Town Plans
These Town Plans are mostly by John Wood from 1818 - 1825 (published in his Scottish Town Atlas of 1828) but we also have Old & New Aberdeen in 1746 and Inverness and adjacent land in 1774. These plans are ideal for anyone interested in local and family history. Property owners are often named, but this varies from plan to plan. Except where otherwise specified the printed area is approx 20 x 24 inches on paper 22 x 28 inches. Scales vary, most of the John Wood maps are between 50 and 100 yards per inch but Glasgow is 300 yards per inch. These plans are suitable for framing and are printed on top quality off-white paper.

Except where specified these plans can be supplied either folded or unfolded in a tube.

A set of 6 maps showing the whole of Edinburgh and Leith on a scale of 125 yards per inch, so that individual houses are shown and many owners named. The printed area is 63 x 56 inches, split into six sheets each 21 x 28 inches on paper 25 x 32 inches. The map covers the whole city as it was in 1817, plus large areas that are now suburbs.
